Part I: when the trip had just begun
Dana flew to Israel a week before me. So by the time I got there, Grandpa was already a big favorite with Boaz. Apparently Safta Rina took all the pictures because there aren't any of her from this trip.

This is what we all wanted to spend our time doing, playing.

This chair was enormously popular with Boaz back then. Now (at 1 1/2 years) he usually eats on the run.

Our family is so lucky. 6 short months after Boaz's birth Tali and Shimon had Shachaf.

 

Doda Coca is one of the people Dana and I miss the most. She a world traveler full of exotic stories.

Doda Carmen doesn't know it but there is an entire fan club dedicated to her here in Santa Cruz reigning back from the days of Boaz's birth. Carmen, Shachaf and Eliezer.

Part II: So what's new? Meeting up with old friends
Ever since I was about 19 years old, we have been friends with the Rosens. They are really family for us when we are in Israel. Their home was the perfect place for Boaz's 1 year birthday party with friends. If you live in Israel, consider Tova for a Jahara treatment. Ido is such a good friend of Dana's. It was really touching to get to introduce Boaz  to so many people we love.

Here are two wonderful friends of mine. Michal and Sari. In ancient history, we all worked together at Check Point as Technical Writers. Michal is quite pregnant in this picture. Soon afterwards Roni got a sister. Little Lee was born on Sunday, January 22nd (weighed 3.215 KG).

Congratulations Danny, Michal, Roni and Lee.

Ori, Orna's daugher was sick a lot of the time we visited but they got to play a couple days together.

 

The party just wouldn't have been a party

Seeing these two together makes me indescribably happy.

Dana with our good friend Sheli. Sheli was recently won a  Fulbright scholarship. She studies Yiddish theater. So she will be in Boston for the next couple years and we hope to visit her there.

Rotem the beautiful daughter of Segal and Tamar (also pictured) and Bobo have been friends ever since they visited us.

A bunch of friends including one of my oldest friends in the world Tali Levi who is pretty in pink. It would take a whole bunch of pages like this to adequately describe how much I love and appreciate the extended Levi family.
